Ice and Northern Lights Workshops
Two new departures are about to be added very soon. These will be eight days long to do full justice to the locations that we photograph, the content will be the same, we will just spend more time exploring the photographic potential and allows time for revisiting favorites!

General Summary
Iceland has some of the most spectacular and easily accessible ice in Europe, this intensive ice workshop gets you right in there providing a great opportunity to capture some striking and dazzling ice images. The well-chosen and varied icy locations offer a vast array of abstract patterns, forms and colours in a remarkable landscape. An exploration of the Glacier Lagoon (Jökulsárlón) by boat will complete the exploration of this unique and surreal arctic environment, location for films such as James Bond’s Die Another Day, ‘A View to a Kill’ and ‘Lara Croft – Tomb Raider’. The appearance of the ephemeral Aurora Borealis (northern lights) will surely be an added bonus.
Whether you are a beginner with your first DSLR or are considerably more advanced, this highly personalized workshop will take you to the next level of proficiency.
Brief Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive
Transfer to Reykjavik hotel
Day 2: Locations on Iceland’s south coast
From Reykjavik to Skaftafell National Park with iconic locations en route including waterfalls Seljalandsfoss, Skogarfoss, Svartifoss.
Hotel Skaftafell
Day 3: Glacier Lagoon
To the Glacier Lagoon, a photographers paradise, and the close by black lava beach, that is decorated with sea washed ice.

Day 4: Glacial Light
We will walk on the Svínafellsjökull glacier to experience a unique icy landscape, expect some really different and striking images from this adventurous location.

Day 5: Ice Day
Several ice locations including re-visiting the Glacier Lagoon known in Iceland as the Jökulsárlón basically photographers could visit this location a thousand times and never tire of its magic. We take the late afternoon flight from Hofn to Reykjavik.

Note some people may prefer to spend this last night in Skaftafell for a longer days shooting and the possibility of Northern Lights. If so they would join our transport going back Reykjavik on Day six arriving back in time for a transfer to the airport and International flights. If this option is taken then the Blue Lagoon would be missed.
Day 6:
Leisurely breakfast and maybe some sightseeing before a late morning transfer to the Blue lagoon Spa en route to International Airport for homeward flights.
